Hello all:
I need to replace my windshield after an evil rock struck it the other day. I want to get an OEM windshield, as they last longer and scratch less than other brands, like PPG. The shop I talked to said their "premium" windshield is from europe. The brand was something like Sigla, but I don't remember the exact name. Does Mercedes use brands other than Sekurit? Should I go ahead and pay the extra $75 for the premium brand? My deductible is greater than the cost of either the PPG or the premium, so it's all out of pocket anyway. Thanks!

Mercedes also uses Pilkington on some cars, Plikington took over LOF a few years back.

Thanks guys! As it is, the second shop I called gave me a better quote for the Sigla than the first one did for a PPG.
Thanks again ![]()
