noisy rear end
I have a 1995 suburban with 65k miles on it. Last week it started howling at the rear end when I first get going and when I slow down. It fades out when the speed goes above 35mph.
Any ideas what could be the problem, I checked the diff oil level and it was good. Any sites that I can learn more about rear end work. The U joints are good also, no vibration is felt either. Thanks for responses, they are all welcome.

Check your wheel bearings too. They'll growl at low speeds when they start to pit and wear.
