We have 5 Stars and love them. However, I also have this set from Lee Valley Tools, and they're very good too...

I don't know about automatic sharpeners but the proper edge on a good knife is one that is at ~22 degree angle. I do my own and if you want to one way to find the proper angle is to take small square piece of paper and fold it in half from point to point making a triangle then fold it again so the edges line up. It bascially goes from 90 degrees to 45 degrees to 22.5 degress which is close enough. The error in the degrees while pushing the knife along the stone will nulify any error in folding the paper. Then use the steel to finish and then be very careful about your fingers. I have a flat spot on the left ring finger tip because of an accident prepping food at a restaurant. Ouch.
