Thumbs up Life best

-Our cycling club Saturday’s group ride 70-80 miles trough the Texas hills countryside

-Texas in the spring time, fields and fields of Blue Bonnets, Indian Paint Brushes, blooming cactuses, just awesome.

- Hiking the Lost Mine Trail in Big Bend, Texas, during the spring or fall seasons

- A summer picnic with family and friends on the shores of the Medina River, by Kerrville, Texas.

-My daily evening walk with my dogs Maximus, and Country (an Airedale Terrier, and a Labrador Retriever), usually I ‘m the one that comes home with the leash on.

-Watching Finding Nemo with my two daughters and a bowl or two of popcorn

-A fresh cup of coffee with whip crème and caramel

-Our summer family vacation on South Padre Island, Texas.

-My new 95 MB E-320 a very passionate relationship, cruising down Hwy 16 towards Bandera, Texas, sunroof open, jazz melodies coming out of speakers, very, very sweet!
:p

Hangin' out with my kids. They're a lotta fun

Going antique shopping with the wife.

Skimming across a mirror smooth lake at dusk on the Sea-Doo.

Cruising in the Benz on a warm summer night with the windows down, sun roof open, and Sarah Brightman on the stereo.

Narwhal, the guy at that B&B I gave you in Natchitoches has a bottle of (I swear he said) eighty year-old moonshined bourbon. He gave me a titillating taste of some wonderfully smooth, flavorful hooch. But that was after we downed about 1/2 bottle of Glenlivet between three of us. I think the poor sod lost his mind in the heat and confusion.

And not necessarily in this order...

That unique smell of rain on the desert.

Ville de Quebec.

Discovering what's around the next bend in the river...

My Lovely Bride's voice when she says, "You're my hero!"

A call from my kids.

Crash9,

It has been a favorite area for my family, and some of my long time friends to go for a picnic and a dip during the hot summer months. I love the Texas hill country, and Hwy 16 snakes through the hill country, and the Kerrville area. Any time of the year is a beautiful ride, very relaxing, I' m glad you like it too.

Cousins have a ranch along the Guadalupe R north of Bergheim. I used to go out there harvest deer every year after Christmas. Beautiful area. I haven't visited since the mid-seventies.

Botnst,

Still a beautiful area even though there has been quite a development especially along Hwy 46 that runs through Bergheim

Yep – that hill country is the best. I always tried to stay in Kerrville and would make a side trip up to Fredericsburg for the German food. I only found a great place once and unfortunately that was the last time I was there

My favourite things:

Dogs - great big huge giant ones.

Yellowstone National Park

Road trips (destination doesn't matter)

A crisp clear mountain morning, full of the scent of pine trees.

Exploring new places.

The chill up the spine brought on by a distant wolf howl.

A good old fashioned snowstorm.

A nice leisurely ride in an old MB (something that I'm missing temendously right now).
