Orthography is spelling. Just goes to show you that one big reason that test seems so hard is that everything is worded differently and we can't always understand what the heck is meant.

Stick an SAT test in a time capsule and send it 100 yrs back and 100 yrs fwd. Neither year would score as well as we score. Orthography is one example of changes. There's context, culture, etc.
