That's great news!! Now you can afford that huge car insurance payment!
BTW was your identity stolen or do you simply have the same name as the other guy? (I didn't re-read the original thread.) The reason why I asked is that you list your entire name here on the net. Should you do that?

My entire Name is on the net anyway due to the fact Volusia County puts all traffic violations on the net. So I'm not worried. Just the fact the names are close and they ran my soical with the wrong name. Actualll insurance should be down yet again with another year of age and better grades

There was a guy up here in Wisconsin who was constantly getting arrested because of another guy who stole his identity. The guy who stole his identity even admitted to police that he did. The guy who stole the identity was in and out of jail, skipped out on a bond and was free and they couldn't catch the actual "bad" guy, but the guy who's identity got stolen (both of them were about the same physical description) kept getting arrested, and man they WOULDN'T let him go. One time they had him locked up for a few days. In that one incident they were just about to take him from a holding cell (county jail) to the state prison! His wife would come vouch for him, his friends would go vouch for him. It wasn't until a friend of a friend (who was a cop) came in that they would even LISTEN to them.
The "innocent" guy eventualy decided to have his name legally changed, but it wasn't until they caught "the bad guy" that he stopped watching over his shoulder for a cop to pull him over and bring him to jail (again). Sounds like it would make a good movie. Dan, I hope you can do something to ensure this doesn't happen to you again. Gilly

Gilly, that's really disturbing. Having your life ripped apart because of some punk would be very frustrating. Did the innocent guy ever register a complaint or anything for the several-days-in-jail period?
