I got a $20 bill that is not cut correctly.

I have a $20 bill that that the print out on the front and the back are not centered. In other words, it is printed a little skewed to the left on the front and a little skewed to the right on the back. Additionally, on the left hand side of the bill, there is like a "hair" of the paper hanging on like it was double cut but left a "hair" on it.

Other than that the bill looks and feels real. The 20 mark changes color with the play of the light. Is this bill for real? I thought that the Fed caught the majority of the mistakes before shipment? Has this one slipped by quality control?

On another note, I passed two faked bills - BUT I DID NOT KNOW - before in my life. The first time I was like 15 yrs old and in Miami International Airport and almost got arrested for passing a fake $10 bill for a coffee. I had no idea, in fact I got as change from the Duty Free store a few doors. The second time was just a few years ago while on work in Miami, I was doing some shopping for my father-in-law at the great, Walmart (living in central America the perception of this store is GREAT!) and I gave a fake $100 bill that my father in law gave me. I know it was his because I had it in seperate envelope with his list. Anyway, almost got arrested then also - I talked my way of that one (thankfully, I had the receipt from the purchase of the dollars from one of the top banks in Guatemala in my briefcase in the car).

Anyway, is my $20 real? ( I got it as change from the bank, here in Guatemala, in paying my mastercard) Anyone else get caught unaware passing bogus bills?

Iggy

Is it the new multi-colored style or old style?

I get these bills every now and again, which are not perfectly cut or centered. I was told they were fine by merchants..?

and a $100 bill was usless in Miami

When I worked in Miami no business would take a $100.00 bill, too many counterfit bills floating around.
