Look for jassz on the Diesel Discusison board. She recently went through getting an American car into Canada. I don't remember the specifics, but she went through quite a bit. I think a lot of it was due to the shipping company, but again, I'm not sure...

Wish I could help more...good luck!

I don't think it is a big deal.
Friend of mine imports US cars a lot!
If the buyer contacts Canada Customs in advance, they will provide him with all the details necessary.
I do know, life is a lot simpler, if the paperwork is done in advance.

Everything you need to know can be found here at the Transport Canada web site.

http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/importation/impusae.htm

If it's more than 15 years old - no problem. If it's less, you have to get into the specifics.

I just want to say thanks guys. My buyer backed out of the deal because I didnt have service records from a MB dealer itself. What an ass... That person was a very rude buyer, even if he wanted my car, I wouldnt sell it to him cuz of the way he treated me and my employees over the phone
