Wave Original
Hey all, these plugins are better than Randalls because they have more turning radius. They are at equals with the pricier new trucks that have springs and a pneumatic in arm middles (Seismic trucks). But I believe our product has the ability to be more stable at high speed and is easier to tweak for various response behavior. It's just like the basic skateboard truck. Simple and elegant.
If you like to go FAST downhill, they can be tightened to reduce /control the wobble. Fast riders may do best with wider hangers (axles). Actually this product was tested by an experienced skater that has placed high in speed competitions. Yesterday we skated the McLaren park area in San Francisco where the street luge competitions take place every year or so. We also skated the steets in the Avenues , up from the hills of Forest Hills down to Golden Gate Park. Quite a ways. Yeah ,independent co. trucks for old school boards may not be typical anymore, but plenty of new school skaters use independent-like trucks and can easily transform an extra board for some new fun. The plug ins work on most any truck. The inventor even has one designed to improve Randall trucks. All patened of course. Indeed try it on your explorer and no more wobble!! How is that for a sales pitch?? The picture does not include the hangers which set ontop of the plug-in and base plate. The shoe like shaped thing is the plug-in product. Although it is set higher, their is no loss of control or ride quality. It turns effortlessly and great within a small radius. Zip around those parked cars just seconds before otherwise impact!! More later. Thanks Denis

another pic
Great for slalom and works on a short board also, however, it is yet to be played with by trick boarders for that application.

Cazzidy
Hey Cazzidy, what are nuclear pickles?? Is the the product name or nic name??
I searched google and came up zip. Stability is good for speedsters. My board is a 33" long by around 8" wide greenbrew deck. I have tried this product on longer boards with kick tails and no kick tails. Lots of combinations to play with. Variables of course include the quality of bushings, type of wheels , width of hangers etc. More later. ![]()

Is there a pivot pin on the underside of your baseplate?
How much are these going to sell for? I don't think these will be good racing trucks but more of a free carve fun longboard truck. Indy is still doing well. www.pocketpistolskates.com makes offset Indy's with 8mm axels for racing slalom. Dave |

Well, I looked at the website you linked and I can say that our plug-ins will enhance turning better than those offsets.
The offsets are a good idea ,nonetheless. At a higher level of competition or riding skill, a rider would have to tailor his subjective and objective preferences. Therfore the market is open to all solutions. Our plug in is a simple inexpensive ($29.50 for two plug-ins, bushings and king pins) upgrade for indy trucks, sector 9 trucks etc. which will give the rider ease of control, very tight turning with EASE and field tweaking. If you want to bomb down hills, then you would use wider hangers, appropriate wheels and tighten up the king pins/bushings to conform to desired stability. We have had these tested up to about 25-30MPH with little or no speed wobble. That test was not on optimal decks and set ups. When you loosen up the bushings, you obviously get easier turning but less down hill bomb stability i.e. speed wobble. That is the nice thing about these. They are field tweakable. You just use your skate tool. So the general best fit theory would place these plug-ins as a contender in the general recreatonal skateboard field. That is, not specifically competition down hill or trick skating. The applications for this product have just begun to be discovered. Basically they excell in slalom and basic longboard street use. Install them on a 31" deck and you get some very quick and precise carving turns. My deck is 33" long and I have them on longer boards. The only limitation is your stamina for fun. Once it is installed into a basic skateboard truck, the upgraded truck will indeed have two pivots and two pairs of bushings and two 'king pins'. Once we get them mass produced in the very near future, I can offer promotional prices for those on this bord who are interested. I want to see about contacting Cazzidy who is in Santa Cruz in order to get some skaters together for sampling boards that are together. More later. Website being develped etc.. Thanks

Offsets
The offsets are used as a rear truck to increase
traction for the back wheels not to increase steering. Most racers also use softer wheels in back to keep the back from sliding out and oversteering. Wedges are also used to decrease turning in back and increase turning in front. I do not understand how a offset increases traction for the back wheels. At $30 I would think you can sell many of these. You could ride a longer deck and still make tight turns. Dave |
