I doubt it's a joke. In a truck magazine of some sort, I remember reading about a SWB 4x2 Dakota that they stuffed a Cummins in and rodded it and it ran some insane numbers. I just found an article on it....it's the Banks Sidewinder Dakota. In the "detuned" setting hitting "only" 630 HP and 1100 lb-ft of torque with 3.33 gears, it was getting 21.2 miles per gallon. That's just wrong.

That's a '95 or so F-350 with a 12 valve Cummins with dual turbos dropped in. I believe he's actually putting out slightly more boost than the funny car.

I didn't know they'd started actually running diesel drag cars like that...that's way

And people wonder why I want to drop a Cummins in my truck
