Ebennz,
Are those 15" OE 8 hole wheels, or are they aftermarket?

Out of curiosity, when you say "OEM", do you mean that you bought them from Ronal, or did you buy them from MB and they have the star logo on the back of the wheels?

4 of these actually came from my mb tech/friend. i told him i was after some 8 hole wheels. he said to follow him to his workshop, he pulled back a sheet and there was 4 very good condition 8 hole tri-star logo'd alloys. he told me to take them with me and see if they'd fit. i got home and as soon as i saw the 124 part number i knew they'd work. $50.00 each, pay me later he said. about a year ago member 'wjm' listed chrome 8 holers in classified. i e-mailed him and asked if any were just silver. only the spare tire he said, it didn't look like it had been on the ground. we struck a deal $50.00 for wheel and tire. i met him in northern ohio and picked it up. he's a real nice guy. actually i got $300.00 for my 15 holers. i think the 8 hole wheels are pretty sweet [for regular factory]. did that w140 interior bolt right up? i had the blue wreath center caps and didn't care much for them. how about a pic? i may change my mind after seeing them again.

Since your 8 hole wheels have the star logo and MB part number, I think it is more correct to call the OE, instead of OEM.
The shift knob works just fine. You simply need a new chrome shaft. You can buy them at: www.matrixcar.de www.eris-car.de www.************************ Let's see if this pic works of the wheel with the center cap:

You ought to consider illuminated sill plates. They fit right over your existing sill plates.
