Does anyone else dislike the image sizes allowed on this site?

Here is another shot...

Although I mildy disapprove of this sort of thing it looks as if you and your dad did a first class job on that installation.

Why don't you post your own thread with more pictures and all the details of how you did it?

I think last time I totalled it all up I have 11,000 into it - that is EVERYTHING from sandpaper, paint, 4 sets of rims to a new 3.0 engine and the initial purchase of 500.

I think my dad taught me well! I love him very much and am always thankful for the time we shared (and share) with this car and projects - and his never ending help!

Here are some shots...
Jake

(PS - it has been getting 24mpg this summer)
I haven't seen your Forcedes. Post us a link. It looks pretty good but I don't even know what car its in.

Sorry to Hi-Jack this thread...

Here are some more shots -

1. A mold and a first bad part in "blow molding" carbon fiber tubes with multiple bends and different diameter ends...It took a while to get a good part!

2. Carving of a rear bumber that would have ben more monochromatic and removed the steel chromed bumper and rubber ends.

3. The final first desing and fiber glassed rear apron - it goes under the original steel chromed bumper and the endcaps are carved / molded in - painted a "soft" rubber trim black.

4. Shot of that part first carbon fiber run of tubes (I wanted to hook it up - was waiting for more supplies during this shot)

5. Exterior of car front - it is a 1980 w123...was a 230 now a 300 Kompressor?

Have a great weekend all,
Jake

Very nice.

I thought the front radiator brace looked like a 123.

Machining custom parts is a great thing to do as well! I always choose to machine a part out rather than to hack and whack something together...Even if it takes days on the machine…

The custom M-90 front discharge...

That looks like 3D profiling do you have a CNC milling machine. Looks real good. Yes if you cant do a web sight, at least start a new thread. This would be more appropriate in a custom fabrication thread.

Nice work Jake ... almost as nice as the work you've done on the Power Wheels for Fisher-Price.

Jake,
That is really nice work. I like the fact that you are not scared at all to do something different. I know how gratifying it is, to drive around in something you have so much time and money, and personal attention invested into. The car is clearly a head turner, and your craftsmanship is apparently top notch. Keep it up, and keep us in the loop.

Nick

My cousin is a CNC operator and we have made some parts together...other parts are just me, endmills, cooling oil and the bridgeport...

Thanks all, I will try to do something more in the future...
Jake
