i have my lc1 wired permantly in my car, with the guage mounted near my head unit to keep an eye on the a/r the whole time also.
i just need to get a cable to wire into the greedy for logging the a/r, at present i do it all real time.
if u melted your cats, have you checked your sparkplugs e320?
i checked myne the other day an the edges were pritty melted (to lean)
so i have gone for a cooler plug, and are looking for bigger injectors again.

Have yout tried closing the gap some? that usually helps, plus stepping down a heat range and going to a non-platinum wouldn't hurt. Try starting with a gap of about .032 and work your way up, extra cylinder pressure will make the resistance in the combustion chanber higher making it harder for the spark to jump the large stock gap.

My plugs were black with all the richness I was running so I did that and bought a step colder, NGK BKR6E plugs, and gapped them .032"

Runs great and the CEL turned off.

I have always wondered how well one of those would work. I guess we will know soon enough. Have you cc'ed the heads and pistons? Be carefull killing quench and compression will make it a real off boost dog if you go too far.

Didnt get to work on it at all since I took the valve cover off but today I got a few hours to spend with it and accomplished this so far. The motor has a lot of little things that get in the way.

So far ive only broken a brittled up vacuum line and my dad broke the head light squirter mount bracket on the head light bucket

You can already tell this ****s mad pro tyte and organizzled

The rest of the parts and tools.

All I need to do is get the exhaust gear off and pull the head.

*Serious* Does this look like TDC to you??.....

is that one of romans head gasgets?
and did you blow your standard head gasget?
and what do you mean by compression surgery? can u explain that a bit better

a guy over on club202.com did a headgasget job at home on a m104, his name is sulaco, if u need any pointers hit him up.

u still running the 310cc injectors and 5bar fpr?

The gasket I have is just a 1.9mm head spacer that ultilizes the stock gasket as well. Its what the VW VR6 guys do to lower the compression. I got it from http://www.innomach.com/shims.htm .

Yes I blew my standard gasket, just barely to where it was leaking oil out of the rear and front corners. My mechanic drove his sl320 with the same type of leak for 3 years until he decided to sell it, then he went ahead and fixed it.

By Compression surgery I just meant the install of the gasket shim. Eventually though I would like to build up a turbo M104 with about 8.5:1 compression, ross pistons, megasquirt, and ARP head studs.

I have my 4 BAR fpr installed right now and I am still using my 310cc injectors. I will probably switch to the 5 when I up the boost a little.

it is not at tdc. use the smaller 4mm holes in the cam the lobes for #1 should look like this / \ with the blancer showing " ot" if you have any questions just let me know i have done tons m104 head jobs. dont forget to reset the tensioner before you go back together or you will cause yourself plenty more problems.

awesome setup max, truly inspirational , I always pondered this but never had the time or $$$ to do it, but always thought a turbo would fit perfect in an e320. Well I'm hoping I can put together a low boost setup on my s430. check your pm
