Synthetic Oil yes....but what grade????

Urgent advise is requested...i need to switch to synthetic oil TODAY, but I'm still not sure what GRADE to buy , 1998 C230 WITH 90K MILES.

Its time for me to change my DUNLOP FM901 tyres, that have been very NOISY.

i recently got me a 1998 C230 without the KOMPRESSOR badge,which i have now got and want to put on the car.
Question is whether the adhensive on the letters is strong enough to hold them...
