I have a lot of rust build up on both of the lowest side strips on my 87 300E. It makes the car look bad...really bad. Anyone have experience with this issue? Repair cost? Here are some pictures.

I've had the same problem for about a year...

I've had the same problem for about a year now...mechanic quoted me $600. :( ...I might get it fixed over the summer.

Ok back and debadged, but not done. There's still some shadowing. I used a claybar for about a half hour, then Zymol Cleaner Wax. Here are some pics...it's hard to see, you'll have to look closely....

I use Ozium spray, which completely gets rid of the smell, not just mask it. If I'm out of Ozium, I open my bottle of Zymol Cleaner Wax and puff that sweet smell around :cool:

Well since the weather is getting so nice, I've been waxing at least every week, if not twice a week. I do a light wash every other day also. When winter hits though, it's about once a month.
