Try the fuel divider, that was the problem in my 91 500sl, this after replacing all plugs,leads and dist.caps etc.
Very expensive if from a main dealer, got mine from a breakers yard.

I had the same problem, try a good quality dose...

I had the same problem, try a good quality dose of injector cleaner.
It cured mine and helped the performance. Try FORTE Advanced Gas Treatment, its not cheap but it worked.

Got it all back together a couple of weeks ago. The blower will still only work on speeds 1,2 & 3. 4 has no effect even with the controller giving 4 different ouputs. Must be the controller. Managed...

Thanks for reply, mine was not noisy when it worked so it is most likely the regulator or the display the fuse is OK.
Did not realise I had to take off the wiper motor as well !!
