If you have R&R the O-rings, bleed/purge the system off of trapped air.

82 SD cluster will not swap to 85 SD (cluster assy will swap, but speedo/tach is different. 85 speedo is electronic and the gear ratio is 2.88. Different from 82. Best to have your cluster repaired...
