1972 W108 280SE 4.5 broken rear shock support

Today while driving, I heard a loud clunk.. I thought it was something on the trunk. I stoped and found that the rear left (driving side) support of the shock was broken.

The W108 is also though, very, but the Kjet is much better than de DJET. I hate DJet distributor and trigger points!!! also...

Hi,

Has anyone swap, or is it at least feasible, a W116 4.5 K-Jet engine into a W108?

I kind of hate the issue of the trigger points .. plus my 117.986 engine on the W116 works so GREAT...
