HI, ON MY 560 THERE ARE SEVERAL PLACES WHERE THIS BLACK ROUGH TAPE HAS BEEN APPLIED. I THINK IT IS FOR REDUCING THE WEAR ON THE WEATHER STRIPPING.

MY TWO MAIN LOCATIONS ARE ON THE WINDSHIELD...
