A/C would be the easiest to bypass...a simple...

A/C would be the easiest to bypass...a simple on/off switch routed through the low and high pressure switches like 90%+ of all other cars from that era.

Vent controls would require dash removal...

Wish there was a easy way to simplify the climate...

Wish there was a easy way to simplify the climate controls. A/c on or off. Wheel to adjust coolant into the heater core, direct air flow selection and fan speed. That's all I want or need.

There is a small air vent just rear of your rear...

There is a small air vent just rear of your rear view mirror. Put a small piece of tissue paper next to it to determine if its pulling air. The small motor is behind the right most dash vent if not.
