Gilly, thanks for the input. I certainly don't think your comment innappropriate. The car doesn't do it during warm up. It's intermittant and unpredictable and I'm leaving it in the garage for now.

Computer glitches 2002 models?

I'm a new guy to the forum and have learned a lot so far. I own a 1998 S500, a 1983 300SD (love those diesels) and a 2002 SLK 32 AMG that I'm having trouble with.
