Non working Cruise Control

Hi again...

How can I test for either a bad CC amp or servo? I get no engaging at all. All fuses look good, and I cannot seem to find the CC amp. Where exactly is it? '82 300D

Thanks!

To the right of the engine, hooked into the linkage I believe.

I know that the servo is on the drivers side with the linkage. I thought the CC amp was some where inside the car. I'll check on the passenger side of the engine when I get home.

Thanks!

The cruise amp or module is a ~4" x 6" box on the firewall in the cabin, in front of the brake pedal arm. Soldering the connections on the pcb can do wonders. Here is good reading and pics...

Yes, we have cruise..

Thumbs up

Lemme get the link to this site, it's easy to test the servo real quick to see if that's the issue. I am still unsure if a servo that has a working solenoid and the internal motor that spins could be at fault...

I believe it's usually the damned amplifier.

That link would be great! I also just discovered a so called "new" engine mount on the drivers side has torn rubber.

Thanks for all the help guys!
