Becker 754 antenna wire
I;m trying to switch out an aftermarket radio back to a becker 754 in my 84 300D. Does anyone know if the antenna motor plug on the becker takes a special plug or can i use a small spade connector and wire. Also, can anyone tell me which under dash wire goes to the automatic antenna? All replies greatly appreciated. Im way over my head here but learning !!
Thanks, Harry |

Remove the antenna switch and follow that wire. It should be black or blue or blue/red.
If the aftermarket radio install messed with the wires, it's a long shot it'll still be connected per the factory from the radio through the switch to the antenna. |

antenna wire
Yak,
Thanks a million for your suggestion of removing the sw. and following it. My antenna does not go up and down and I suspected the aftermarket guy didnt hook it up but couldnt find it. I fished in there numerous times and still could not find it. Following your suggetstion of pulling the sw.....PRESTO there it was!! Now It has a standard female connector and it is large and black.(84 300D) Now I have to figure out where it goes. Does it attach to the back of the radio? Thanks again, Harry |

Got my radio wired in correctly on the first try using the link yak sent. The only thing left is soldering in the connections Thanks a million to all who responded.

Hi everyone,
resurrecting an old thread. So my harness was cut by a previous aftermarket install. But I did find a sole blue wire. Should I assume this is the antenna control wire ? It is one wire, only. Is that it ? On the becker 754 radio I see that the connector has 2 pins. So Am I missing 1 wire ? Or should I wire this blue wire to the 2 pins on the connector ? or to a single one ?) Thanks for your help ! |
