Rear seat for 129

I would like to add the rear seat kit to my 97 SL320 and was wondering if it's an MB or aftermarket part? Any suggestions where to look for one? (black).

Thanks,

Dan

The rear seat was standard fit in Britain, together with rear lap belts. The car was homologated as a four seater. I do not think the rear seat was offered in the USA. The parts should be available from the dealer. They consist of the seat base, two individual folding backrests, a pair of lap straps and a pair of buckles. Presumably there are also some fixings. The rear seat is not compatible with the Bose sound system.

You may be able to find rear seat packages on the after market, but I do not know about that.

It is possible to accommodate two adults in the rear at a pinch; one adult is comfortable enough; two small children should be easy enough, too.

Thanks for the info. I think I am just going to install a seatbelt on the right side, my car with the Bose system doesn't have a seat available and my 11 year old seems happy to sit on the carpet in back with the dog.
