My 1993 300E drivers rear side brake light does not work - fuse and bulb are both good. Bulb "out" light on dash lights as soon as you hit the brake. Passenger side cluster works fine - including brake light as do all other lights on the driver side. Any ideas ???

Sean,
Try swapping the bulbs and see if the problem goes to the other side. I had the same problem and the bulb looked good and even tested good with the trusty old Fluke but it was bad. Stopped at the local NAPA store and picked up a new one. The old one had "made in China" written on it. good luck engatwork '95 E320 '97 Honda CRV |

Bulb works fine when switched to the other side. There is no voltage at the socket when you depress the brake. Right and middle brake lamps work fine. Any ideas on how to test this further ?
Thanks, Sean |
