Does anyone have this problem?

Each time i get in and out of my car,i get this creaking sound. It sounded like the rear coil springs,so i sprayed them with silicone.Needless to say it did not help. Can anyone tell me what this could be?

Could possibley be worn ball joint(s). Push down on the vehicle at each of the four corners above the wheels and see if the noise is present. If it is, it's a pretty clear indication it's time for a joint.

Also could be bushings.
I had the same problem with the front end, used WD40 on them and the noise disappeared.

Do you put your parking brake on before leaving the car? If so don't put it on and get out.

I didn't repy because Hatterasguy had the answer. Mine creeks when the emergency brake is on.. comes from rear. The gear/gizmo that locks the back wheel is not totally engaged and friction produces the creeking sound. A new one should relieve the problem, but I'm lazy and need to fix other things first.

I think the sound is from the brake shoes shifting slightly inside the drum as you get out. My shoes and a bunch of other parts in their are new so I think they just make that noise.

this never happened to my 124, but my 190e used to squeak too. i just sprayed silicon lubricant on the plastic thingy(it has a small ball joint) connecting the rear stabilizer to the rear lower control arm.

Hi...new to the forum here, but I had a similar problem on my 300SDL. We replaced the rear sway bar link and it went away.

My SDL made a clunking noise when I went over bumps, I found my rear sway bar links were bad and replaced them.
