european 16v piston part number/22mm pin
I am having major problems getting the correct pistons for the engine I am rebuilding its an 1985 16v gray market car. The machine shop has tossed the original pistons and the ones I ordered from fastlane are 24 mm wrist pins. the rod are 22 mm could someone give me the correct part number please. I would like to use the euro pistons 10:5 compression, as the cam and tune are european.
P.S. 96mm bore Thanks Paul |

The only euro 16V engines that had 10.5/1 compression have 24MM wrist pins!
If your engine has 22MM wrist pins then the engine was 9.7/1 ratio! To make a 22MM wrist pin engine have 10.5/1 you need to make the piston protrusion 0.8-1.0 MM. In other words deck the block, make sure to have the front cover installed if the block needs 0.5MM or more removed
