W124 wiper arm cover - Need part number

I recently replaced my "new" '87 300D's wiper arm and blade with the shorter arm (124-820-43-44) and matching blade. On the old arm, the rivets were loose and the springs were weak, keeping the blade from making good contact with the windshield. The wiper works much better now.

However, the cover at the base of the old arm, above the round gearbox cover, doesn't fit the new arm. On the old cover, there is a screw to attach the cover to the arm from underneath, and a square panel you can lift to access the Allen-head screw to remove the arm. The new arm has no screw hole - it looks like the cover should just snap on to two metal "wings." Can someone with the EPC get me the part number for the new cover? I don't like driving around without it - it looks crummy, plus the shaft of the arm is exposed to the rain when the wiper extends.

Attached is a screen capture from one of the PDFs on the W124 CD. The cover I'm talking about is item number 1 in the picture.

The part is only a few dollars. Call the parts guys at Fastlane (top of page) and confirm, then order fro them. Helps pay for this site.

Cool

Will do... no offense intended. I just hate it when I order the wrong part by accident... it's such a letdown when you're waiting for that UPS package, and then you order it and realize you can't do the repair job you were looking forward to after all.

I have an extra

I have an extra one from when i replaced mine. I thought it was broken - turned out I just didn't know how to properly install it!

If you want it it's yours. Just pay me the shipping.
