Syn oil in 722.433 !!!???

I need to change my trany oil in my 300e 2.8 1993
Shoud I use syntetic oil from MB dealer or Bilstein mineral oil. The price is about the same. Trany is OK 165K mile ,but I am wondering if the syntetic will preserve better the trany. How about change intervals in case of using this Syntetic oil. I already use Mobil1 15W50 for the engine and I am very hapy with it.

radunegru - I switched over the summer (132,000) to Mobile 1 Syn Tranny oil and it seems to be a bit smoother, most notibly right from the start of the drive. As long as you dont have any leaks you shouldnt have a problem with holding oil. As far as drain intervals, with syn engine oil you can prolong intervals but as the interval is fairly lengthy anyways I wouldnt temp failure. Not that it wouldnt keep lubricity properties, but rather that changing it would prevent any sediments from getting any where they shouldnt.
