What is the temp of the stock thermostat on the 97 C280? My experience with it is that the car seems to run rather warm. I wanted to know if there is a cooler themostat for the car and if it would be OK to install it. Thanx

87 c is the stock temp. DO NOT INSTALL A COOLER ONE. Your check engine light will come on, your car will run rich and use alot of fuel. These engines are supposed to run warm where they are efficient. Be sure that the auxillary fans are operational in low and high speed.
