190E: Which engine range does mine belong?

How do I know which of the above parts does my engine belong to? Where is the number located on my car? I have a 1992 2.6 190E.

Part: A/C ACC Temp Sensor
To which engine range does the vehicle belong?
10-005709-
12-008051-

For example if I look up a/c acc temp sensor on benz bin I get to different part #.

I called the dealer. I gave them my vin number
and they told me it is: 12-0061686.

So does this mean it belongs to: 12-008051?

thanks in advance,
Joseph

The number of digits should match up. Maybe the dealer meant "061686"?

Those ranges are usually listed as -xxxxxx and xxxxxx-. to translate, if there is a dash before the number, it means any engine or chassis before this number, if the dash is after the number it means any from this number on. The number itself is a serial number, in sequence.

Your engine number is greater than the one listed, so you need the later part.

It will be listed as 12-008051- .

To add to the confusion, the 10 indicates a manual transmission and the 12 indicates an automatic.
