water pump leaking and monovalve not working. Related?

Let me take you back a couple of weeks...AC starts to blown hot air from the side wents, AC works fine only on MAX AC low or high but not on AUTO AC.
I checked the fuses, sure enough, fuse #7 blown. Check the archives, everything suggest to a bad monovalve. I blocked the hose to the heater valve to check if a bad monovalve or a bad AC controller as suggested by Steve. Everything works fine, so I have a bad monovalve. No big deal I will change in the next couple of weeks when I get some time ( I though).
Last week I noticed, the coolant level low, I added some coolant and hoped for the best. This past weekend I checked the coolant level and it was low again. This time I find a coolant leak on the drivers side behind the AC compressor. A sign of a bad water pump.
Question is: Would a bad monovalve kill the water pump or viceversa? I am also suspecting a bad auxiliary water pump...
What do you guys and gals think?

Your first sentence is confusing. I'm not sure I understand your problem, however, the answer to your question is that there is no relationship between the two pumps.

Just to clarify...

All the problems started a couple of weeks ago when the AC started to blown hot air from the side vents. However, AC works fine when activated on MAX (coldest setting in the temp wheel) with the blower set on low or high but NOT on automatic temp adjustment...
The question was/is: Would a bad monovalve kill the water pump or viceversa? It seems like too much coincidence to have both go at the same time.
Sorry for the confusion!
