Best lube for sunroof slide rails

What lube does MB recommend for the sunroof slide rails? Also what is the best method to clean them?

MB sunroof paste only, nearly anything else will collect grit and cause trouble.

It's a lot like paste wax. Wipe down the rails with a clean rag and apply the paste. Wipe off and re-apply, then apply to the pads that ride on the rail and you should be set.

Rusty at BuyMBParts will sell you a 2 oz tin rather than the 500g can that will last at least an eternity.
