It looks like the unit only scales to 136 degrees F. The reason for looking into this modification is that I just wanted to see the corrilation of boost pressure to intake temp without the clutter of aftermarket gauges. Yes the outside temp gauge is a safety device for icy conditions. I simply choose to watch the weather channel and drive cautiously whenever ice is possible. Just my choice. Thanks for everyone's input to help me decide to do this or not!
