140 chassis - interior mirror - manual replacement suggestion please.
The 500SEL interior rear view mirror just isn't working right.
The motion could be improved, but the real issue is that the headlights are showing bright as day - that is there is zero dimming at night. Considered replacing the mirror - but at $1,000 a pop - I'm reconsidering. Question: Is there a manual mirror that I could use in the 140 chassis that would give me the dimming. Althought I appreciate the automatic dimming feature, and I appreciate the automatic repositioning when the seat is adjusted - great features. But - I just need a simple mirror that will dim - my consern are the attatchment bolts. Is there another mirror with the same bolt pattern? Thanks much
