Are the lifters in all m110s solid type or were some hydro? Motor in question 1981 280se grey market.

All M110 engine don't have lifters, they have rocker arms. The rocker arms have manual adjustments which need checking every 20,000km/12,000mi. They'll either get noisy or the engine will run rough when they are out of adjustment.
