1980 driver window

I have 1980 300SD wit a driver window that was always slow. It suddenly quit. I would like a troubleshooting step guide but can't find any thread. I don't have a card showing the fuse box #designationfor the drivers window. And I also would like to know how to get the switch out of the console without breaking the wood or the switch. All the other windows still work but the driver window just stopped working with no warning, no power whatsoever. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.
