SOS... HELP!! Car apart. C230 Sway Bar bushing PN 202... vs 124...

Hi,

Anyone who can answer this now I would really appreciate it!! I ordered some parts from Fastlane and everything I got was correct except I think they sent me the wrong front sway bar bushings (bar to frame). The pack list says 124 323 57 85 and that is what is stamped on the bushings and also EPS21, but when I took off the sway bar it looks like these are quite a bit narrower than the ones on there (original) which are stamped 202 323 02 85 EPS 24. The bracket on the car is 28mm wide but it looks like the new bushing I got can only take a bracket 24mm wide. I know that some of the 202 parts have 124 PN's and I suppose some parts can be substituted but this really doesn't look like it can fit correctly. HELP!!!

Thanks,

Mike

Mike,
I checked EPC and it looks like you need 202 323 02 85. This part is for models 202.022 and 202.023. Yours should be 202.023 as 1998 model?
The other part 124 323 57 85 is for models 202.024, 202.028, 202.029, and 202.033
Reg. Mike

Hey man, I'm about to try the same job myself. Could you let us know how things turned out? If you could offer step by step and helpful hints I'd really appreciate it.

That part information listed above is really helpful. Thanks Mike. Mine's a 1997 so it uses slightly different parts. The never-been-wrong dealership parts department that I use for stuff like this set me up with a total of four bushings. If it turns out they're correct, I'll list the part numbers for anyone who cares.
