AC Fan on '97 E320 seems to have only one speed

When I manually change the speed on the AC fan, the LCD shows the changes, but the fan speed stays the same. Am I doing something wrong, or is it possible for the blower to fail and stay on one speed?

Thanks for any input,

Mark

Cool

The "electronic" blower regulator is a very common HIGH-RATE failed part, so much so that MB re-designed the system in late 1998 only 3 years into production!
