Anyone recommend Brake stuff?
I need to replace brake rotors and pads on my W126. Anyone had any products that they have been very happy with? I am looking at the ATE Rotors or the Zimmerman rotors. Any preferances? Also whats a good pad? Any advice always accepted.

Both ATE Rotors and Zimmerman Rotors are good products. Are you referring to oem replacement rotors or ATE PowerDisc and Zimmerman Cross-Drilled? I personally use Brembo (oem replacement) rotors and PBR brake pads. I have used Pagid brake pads, but find they dust too much like the OEM.

The consensus I have come up with from reading here and MBCA.org, is there are only 2 good choices. Either all stock, or Balo rotors + Textar Yellow Box Pads. I have Ate PowerDisks on my VW PU and love them there (especially in the rain, very susceptible to getting wet) but have been told they are no good for the heavier cars like MB.

Yes, the Pagid pads dust, but they do a fine job stopping the car. I have never noticed the wheels being dirty when the rest of the car is clean, so when the wheels are dirty I wash the car!
