Which terminal on cap is #1 on 3.8l

I just got my 84 380SE home and it is missing the dist cap. I bought a new one but need to know which terminal on the cap I should put number 1 on. It is a 3.8l V8. All the wires are marked but not sure where to start #1 on the cap.
