I have recently returned from a 2200+ mile road trip in my '96 C220. The car performed stunningly, from 85mph Interstate driving to twisty 2-lanes to gravel roads, and averaged a respectable 33 mpg! Even kick-down passing acceleration was awesome for this small engine. My only problem is that about midway through the trip it began a peculiar hard-start problem when cold, requiring 3-5 starts. Prior to this trip it never experienced any type of stumbling during a cold start. Once warm it starts and runs perfectly. Any Ideas???

hard start
check the fuel pressure regulator and see if it is leaking, will cause fuel pressure to drop, and put excessive fuel in the intake. if you need more info send me an email.
