Hi everyone,
My brother's 85 380SL, 140k miles on it, has trouble starting. it turns over and sounds like it is about to kick in, and it doesn't. it takes several cranks for it to finally start. When it is started, it runs like a champ, smooth and powerful. What could be causing this? Bad distributor cap and rotor? Bad wires? bad plugs? something faulty in the fuel system? Please let me know, I'd like to figure this out so I can fix his car if its DIY.
