Where is my fuel pump relay located??

I have a 84 Mercedes 380SE. When I turn the key on I dont hear a buzz from the pump. Where is the relay located and what does it look like? Is there just the 1 fuel pump located near the tank or does it run a second near the engine? Does someone have a diagram of the fuel system and the electronics under the hood??

Thank you

Not sure about the relay, but the fuel pumps (there are two) are under the rear seat, outside the car, under a plastic cover.

Should run when cranking, don't know if they do the 1 sec buzz at at start or not.

on a 420sel

On a 1989 420SEL the fuel pump relay is between the 2 firewalls, the one closest to the passenger side. It is rectangular box. My fuel pumps do not buzz and they are brand new. My old pumps buzzed, and then one started to scream, which motivated me to replace both pumps..
