Chatting with my indie after a head gasket repair on my 1991 300CE, 120k, he mentioned that my engine was good for another 100k and the only other major item might be tranny work in the 180k-200k mileage area. He suggested it was no big deal and that there was an expert MBZ tranny guy up the street.

This might actually be in your neighborhood.

The indie is Enrique at Mr. MB, 5557 Reseda, Tarzana, 818-708-8086

I don't know the name. I would just call Enrique and he'll probably tell you.

Sun Valley rebuilds MB transmission, and is in the LA area - a search herein should turn up something. I believe their web site is mercedesdismantlers.com.
