Angry Please please help about accumulators

Is accumulator for 560 SEL side specific? I purchased a set of them on Ebay and put both of them on the car. However, I could not, for one full hours, put the metal line back into the driver side one. I had not problem on the passenger side. I could keep turnning but the screw just will not bite in.

I really don't want to get the other one out just to find out there is not difference which side it is.

Please help.

Should both be the same. Sometimes you are better off trying to get the hydraulic line attached before bolting the sphere into place (attaching the bracket)

Took me forever in my 300TE, and got soaked with fluid even though I purged out more than a liter. Had to shower in Gojo.

I found that the trick is to leave the accumulators loose so you can move them around a bit to get the threads started. Helps a lot to leave the ends must started while getting the other end in!

I spent a while on the TE, but finally got smart and tried installing the lines in different orders, finally found the combination that got them all going. A bit tight down there...

At least you wont' have to do the job again for a while!
