timing belt tensioner
Any one know if there is a gasket on the timing chain tensioner on 78 300D???
IF can I get in a gasket set( don't want to) or can I make it out of gasket material or use RTV or some thing? Want to know any easy way to get at it also if you got an idea. Thanks! Last edited by marciano77; 10-31-2004 at 03:12 PM. |

gasket
the gasket you need is mercedes prt number 617-052-02-80
it is available seperate and fastlane does sell it. you could also go to your local dealer and give them the part number. they may have it. if you cant find it, i can get it for you. let me know Ray mercedessd@cox.net don't use silicone it will leak! by the way it is timing chain, not belt |

Some have a gasket, some have an o-ring, do not use the o-ring on the gasket type nor the gasket on the o-ring type!
You will have to pull it to check.... No sealant in either case, please. Peter
