How do I change glow plugs?

Is changing glow plugs in a 1973 220d any different or more difficult than changing spark plugs? Is there anything I should know that's different about a diesel when I do this? I'd really appreciate any and all advice.

Thanks a milion,

Mike1441

Glow Plugs

1. Soak as long as possible with Kroil /and-or/ P.B.Blaster.
2. The "tips" may have "Carboned up" and even though you "Break the plugs
loose" you may have the devil's own time pulling them out (much less
pulling them out without leaving chunks of carbon in the Pre-chamber).
