380SEL Cruise Control *URGENT*
I cannot get to the screws or bolts holding in my cruise amp. Is there a way to just have the board fall out? Please help me out, because I have to drive this car tomorrow. I see two screws, one on either side that will not budge, and a bolt attached to the body that the only thing I can do is round the bolt. It takes an 11mm wrench.
Also, does anyone know about a tutorial site that a member here had? It was pelinski, or pendlinski, or something .com. THAT would really help me out right now.

10 mm. One side is a nut that doesn't turn (welded on the bracket). I suspect that's where you're trying. On the other side is where you want to be. Takes a deep socket and the hex head screw is aways in, coming from the drivers side. Remove the whole bracket.
The tabs can be bent on the aluminum rectangular box and the innards released that way, if you are planning a resolder. The car runs fine with the cruise control in any state of disassembly (just unplug it), so it's not neccessary to complete the repair in one session. Just got back from the test drive. It works!!!!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Unfortunately, couldnt get the box out, so I pried the board out of the box. I PAINSTAKINGLY soldered each freaking joint and had to ducttape it back in. After I vowed that I would never use that stuff on my MB... But, it works. And no one but a mechanic who goes underneath there will ever know that it is ducttaped. But this reinforced just how much I hate messing with interior work. And my back is FREAKING KILLING ME from that damned position I was laying in. Door sill right in my lumbar... ![]()
