Thank you!

If you are stuck on NGK, go put them in .. but buy the Bosch F8DC4 at the same time so you will have them in hand a few miles down the road as I tried to explain to you..
There are tons of plug post in the archieves that witness the far superior running of F8DC4 on HFM/SFI benz engines ..and to the point that FastLane does not even bother with giving any other choice...as these have proven to suit BEST.
But,...From you NGK persistance , I think that our attempts to help you will not change this and that you have no choice to staisfy yourself but to buy-them, try -them, change-them..
Been there...done that..Good Luck..
Update: After several years of running on NGK's, including the last set having 15,000 on them and still doing fine, I have to say that the NGK vs Bosch debate is much to do about nothing. Many of the latest Mercedes come OEM-fitted with NGK's.

NGK

I use NGK BP5ES in my 117 (560SL) and am very pleased with them. Long life although I remove, inspect and clean every 6 months. I would use Bosch if they weren't so hard to find.

Perhaps some day I will replace the ignition harness with non-standard so I can use much easier to find resistor plugs.

Which bosch are you looking for? I'm assuming you're looking for copper. The Bosch part for your engine seems to be mostly either resistors or yttrium electrodes. Nuthin wrung with NGK's tho....
